  • They’re saying that if you time it right, they won’t get/hear the notification that you’ve checked in and you can slide into the right spot. Wait awhile and then you’ll get refunded because you were “waiting so long”

Which it can work TBH, it just won’t be a reliable method by any means

I don’t mind having the choice at least, years ago Amazon did this with their Kindles (or maybe they still do, dunno). You were given a choice on their Kindle order page, save 40$ on an ad supported version or full price and ad-free. It even stacked (At least once anyways) with other sales they might have been running.

I chose the ad supported model… and then proceeded to root it and remove the ads LMAO

I was driving through, I think Utah, a while back and I remember seeing a billboard ad for a local bank. They were heavily leaning into religious marketing (or maybe they were a “Christian Bank”) and I remember thinking “Y’all im pretty sure Jesus had major issues with using the lord’s name for business” lmao

From time to time I have to sign a form that specifically says “Print and sign, no digital signatures”

I use Adobes “draw a signature” feature to do my squibble, then place it on the signature line taking at least a little care to make it look handwritten (So like a portion of my signature is dipping below the line etc.). Finally I print to PDF (Even if it is already PDF) and email that or use one of those fax apps if fax is absolutely required.

I haven’t had any such forms rejected (Well, at least not for “improper signature” or whatever) and I’ve been doing it on forms for well over a decade now lmao

Google is a bit better, Google allows you to both side load and unlock the bootloader. On those 2 things alone gives them at least a couple notches above Apple. Not to mention Android is designed around allowing you to customize things.

That being said, Google isn’t some savior, they’re still a giant corporation doing giant corporation things
