That’s not how that works.

NFT is issued determining ownership to a property. Property sells, another NFT is issued, tied to the original one to maintain a chain of ownership. Issuance of a second NFT for a sale to a new owner would depend on authorization by the previous NFT holder. Lienholder information could also be stored, and linked to a mortgage NFT with payment history.

The “NF” part of that stands for “non-fungible.” As in, once created, cannot be changed.

One of the things blockchain could do is become a digital proof of ownership, augmenting or replacing things like property deeds and car titles. We already agree that a written record of ownership of such things is legally binding (even if the writing is stored digitally), but transfer of that ownership to another person is still a very manual process. Imagine an NFT that represents ownership of your house, and when you want to sell your house, you transfer that NFT to someone else’s custody - adding their ownership information to it. It would record the entire chain of ownership, and specific details about the piece of property involved.

It’s also possible to have Windows log in as a specific user at boot, without user input. Regardless of operating system, your logged on session is in the context of some user account, whether you interactively log in or the system does it for you.

The PIN is stored locally on the machine only. It doesn’t get synced with anything anywhere. It’s actually much safer to use a PIN for authentication because it’s four digits that you (well, maybe not you) don’t have to write down, and the only time it works is on the physical machine. The user account password can be long and/or complex, but if you’re only ever authenticating at the keyboard, all you have to remember is the PIN.

Edit: Not to mention that the inside of an egg is mainly protein, while the inside of a potato is mainly starch and cell membranes. Heat causes proteins to tighten, and causes starches and cell membranes to break down.

The effects of the environment on each of these things have everything to do with what the things are.

Isaac Newton is a wonderful example. Absolutely brilliant in so many ways, and absolutely wrong in others. Just because someone is “smart(er than me)” doesn’t mean that they’re always right and I’m always wrong.

Somebody wants to be religious, have theistic views? That’s fine, I don’t care. I think they’re wrong, but I don’t care. I believe that people who put so much into it that they get accredited (why?) degrees in their beliefs (ones that I think are wrong, as previously mentioned) are well beyond just “being religious” and deep into fantasy indulgement. I also believe that there is a great deal of overlap between such people and those who want government to adhere to a specific set of religious rules or laws.

You don’t help anyone by treating them entirely in this sneering, beneath you way.

We’re not talking about people who have an academic interest in Christian mythology in the way that there are people who have academic interests in Egyptian mythology or Norse mythology. We’re talking about people who believe the myths as divine truth. It’s like if I had a PhD in Norse mythology, and I thought I was going to Valhalla, a real place.

In the US at least, and elsewhere for sure, Christian nationalism partnered with fascism is on a very steep rise. This is a “bad thing,” and I experience exactly zero shame in standing against people who are already trampling the rights and agency of so very many people based on religious views.
