I only use Reddit for one small niche hobby. And given that a bunch of those people still use Facebook, I’m not that surprised they haven’t relocated to Lemmy.

I used to work with a kid like this. 25 years old, got money from his parents, spent his entire work check on weed. One of my co-workers told me about a time he caught this guy just staring off into space for like an hour while on the clock. Total piece of shit, and an asshole on top of it all. Basically what you’d expect from an ICP fan, which he was.

Just because I had two opinions in the same comment doesn’t mean you should get the fleet the two. If you buy something without verifying its source you are stupid. If you buy overly expensive shoes you are stupid. See they’re two different things. I’m just using this case as a chance to jab at the stupidity of buying the overpriced shoes while also jabbing at the stupidity of buying something without verifying it’s authenticity. It’s a two-for-one.

Don’t forget the needless implementation of always-online single player games. Even for single/multiplayer games like PoE or anything Diablo, there’s literally no technical need to have a connection. It’s just fancy DRM for Blizzard and an excuse to milk you more microtransactions for PoE.

And before anyone regurgitates Blizzard’s BS about anti-cheat, it’s very possible to keep multiplayer characters on the server and single player on your computer and never have them interact or permit single player loot to be sold on their marketplace. Not to mention their regular online check for D2R. Blizzard has ALWAYS used aggressively hostile DRM. If they could virus bomb thieves’ computers then they absolutely would.

Depends on where the light is for me. If it’s a chandelier style, I don’t like it because it’s kind of in my eye line.

I don’t need to go overseas to find drug dealer park; I live in Chicago. We have drug dealer park at home.

It is for certain people, but not typically. I know two people who quit cold turkey and my fiancee knows another one. Everyone else has fought and struggled, relapsed, or shifted to e-cigs.

Strangely this can be true for hard drugs too. As I understand it, biology is a big part of it, but psychological, social, and circumstantial factors are pretty important too.
